new year's resolutions 2014Each New Year is a new opportunity to start fresh and accomplish new goals… or at least resolve to do so.  As you look ahead to 2014, take these Top 5 Ways to Have the Best 2014 into consideration when making your New Year’s resolutions:

5. Buy a KD Kanopy tent (of course!)  – Whether you are looking to expand your current business or start a new one, KD Kanopy tents, banners and signage are the ultimate marketing tool to give visibility to your new or existing brand.  What would make 2014 better than more business?!

4. Make a plan, not just resolutions – When it comes to any goal, a plan is the key to successfully attaining it. Resolving to lose 30lbs can be daunting, but planning to walk for 30 minutes each day will give you a means to accomplish your goal. Without a plan, you’ll probably see the same resolutions on your list next year. Remember, it takes small steps to accomplish great goals!

3. Be authentic –Be as you are! Follow your dreams, not those of others. Act on your interests, and be confident in who you are and for what you stand. Say no to those activities that don’t truly energize you. “Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.” – Dr. Seuss

2. Give– Give of your time, give of your talents, give of your profits. Giving doesn’t have to be complicated or time consuming. It can be as easy as inviting over a lonely neighbor for dinner, tutoring a student, or donating gently-used clothes to a shelter. When we give, we ensure that more than just ourselves have the best 2014. And more often than not, we end up receiving more than we gave.

1. Have fun! – With all this resolving, our focus can become so oriented on our weaknesses and areas of improvements we forget to have fun! Resolve to add fun to your resolutions. Have fun making a weight loss plan. Have fun being authentic. Have fun giving.

As you sit to write your New Year’s resolutions, don’t forget to also acknowledge your wins and accomplishments from the past year. You made it to 2014, and that alone is something to celebrate. Have a happy (and fun) New Year!

And, be sure to let us know how you plan to make 2014 your best year yet!
