There is nothing more rewarding than seeing our canopies and tents help to spread the word about some of our favorite non-profits. It is our honor to work with great organizations such as Feed Our Children NOW, 4 Paws for Ability and the Special Olympics Colorado, as well as support the community through our own charity, KD Kanopy Cares for Kids. Feed Our Children NOW coordinates and organizes food drives across the country to help hungry children in need. The non-profit also addresses the need for personal finance education in securing the next generation’s financial future. 4 Paws for Ability uses the special talents of service dogs to provide independence for children with disabilities and veterans who have lost the use of a limb or their hearing. The non-profit also works to educate the public regarding the work of service dogs in the community.
Featuring Olympic events from snowboarding to soccer, even bocce, the Special Olympics Colorado provides year-round sports training to children and adults with intellectual disabilities. This unique athletic competition benefits the participants, their families and fosters an environment of equality, respect and acceptance within communities.
In addition to the charities we work with each year, we are proud to have started KD Kanopy Cares for Kids 10 years ago to help children in need. Through fundraisers, we focus on small charities that need the help most. This year, we will be hosting our 6th Annual Golf Tournament at Hiwan Golf Club in Evergreen, Colorado to benefit a local non-profit. The tournament will take place on July 28th, 2014.
