Protecting Your Pop up Canopy

Share:

At KD Kanopy, it’s not uncommon for us to hear from a customer that they’ve been using the same shade canopy for over a decade. While we make our products to stand the test of time, there are a few things you can do that could cut down on the life of your new canopy. We’ll call this our “Avoid at All Costs” list.

  • Pooling water. When it rains, it pours. Our pop up canopies can stand a light rain, but the fabric is not water resistant. That means it’s best to not leave your canopy unattended when it rains; if the water is allowed to pool up, the weight of it could damage your frame.
  • Leaving it for days. As the name implies, our pop up canopies are meant to be put up with minimal hassle. The same goes for taking it down. These tents were not made to withstand Mother Nature for days on end. If you plan on using it at a multi-day trade show, do yourself and your canopy a favor: take it down at the end of the day.
  • Excessive wind. While you can’t predict wind gusts, you can usually get a forecast on how windy any given day will be. If the forecast calls for wind, it might not be the best day for your canopy. A sudden gust of wind could tear your canopy top.

Since 1984, KD Kanopy has manufactured high-quality, custom pop up canopies and digital signage for a wide-range of corporate and casual clients. Our products are easily customizable with digital or screen printing. Looking to stand out in the crowd? Go to KD Kanopy for your custom canopy needs.
