2021 is coming to a close. We certainly hope it’s been better than 2020 and we imagine most of you are still working hard to make a comeback. Of course, we are hoping that at some point you were able to take your canopy out and about during the year. That being said, it might be time you put your canopy away for its long winter’s nap (unless you’re KBCO!). If winter isn’t you and your business’ thing, make sure you take these 3 tips to heart. You’ll be happy you did come springtime.
FIRST: DRY OUT THE TOP
Obviously, you don’t want to pack your canopy top away if there is any sign of wetness. Trust us, make sure your top is entirely dry. You wouldn’t keep your wet clothes in the washer all winter, right? Same goes for your canopy top! Avoid damage, dry it out.
SECOND: REMOVE THE TOP FROM THE FRAME
The next thing you want to do to prepare your canopy for hibernation is to take the top off properly. This is really important! Your canopy is an investment, make sure you show it some love. All you have to do is make sure that when you put it away at your last event, that you do it the right way (but make sure you dry it completely before you put it in the bag, tip #2). Do your best to fold it nicely versus stuffing it into the bag. This way, you won’t have to replace or repair any of it when you take it out after winter.
KEEP IT IN ITS PROVIDED BAG
